Model Number: mer5755qaw Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
Have oven that went to self clean and had to unplug to release (let it cool). Oven / broiler not working. Control board or temp sensor or something else?

Here are your parts
Parts for Maytag MER5755QAW Range - AppliancePartsPros.com See the attachment for the tech sheet Not quite sure I understand. If the unit went into self clean all by itself you will need a control (item 7 in section 03). By the sound of it the hi-limit switch may have blown. I think it is item 18 in section 01. If you click on it's picture a new page will open with a view of the back. Looks like it can be reset by pushing the read button back in. It would also be a good idea to check the oven sensor. Below is a link, check out 7, 8, 20 and 21. http://www.applianceaid.com/electric...air-topics.php
