If you can post a pictures shown the inner door panel and the the side door panel the handle is, it will help to provide the most accurate advise. Gene.

I, too, have a whirlpool gh5184xps and I am trying to replace the door handle. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get to the inside screws! Can you or anyone please assist? Thanks!

I do not think you have to remove the door from the microwave, just remove the choke cover but you can prefer to do it. - The part number for the door handle is AP3872693 Gene.

This is EXACTLY what I needed. While it wasn't as easy as reading the instructions, I was successful in replacing the handle. I also read that they have a touch-up paint kit. Sounds like a faulty build to me, but oh well. Thanks!!!
