Default Need Roper Dryer help
Model Number: REX3514PQ0   Brand: Roper   Age: 1 - 5 years

I have an electric Roper dryer, it is about 2 yrs old. When you go to dry your clothes it has a dryness sensor I guess you call it. Basically what I mean is when I turn the dryer on I have to turn a dial to how dry I want my clothes (Very Dry, less dry etc) then hit the Start button. When my clothes get to my desired dryness it shuts off.
Last night I threw a load in the dryer & turned it on & went about my business. About 2-3 hrs later I was walking by my laundry room & noticed the dryer was still on, so I went in to check it out. When I opened up the dryer door I noticed there was no heat at all coming out. I pulled a few pieces of clothing from the dryer & they were still damp.

My question is, is this a heat sensor problem or could it be something else. Also is this something my husband can fix or am I going to need to call a repair man.

Thanks for the help.

This is on of most common problem with dryers.

You can find the complete troubleshooting instructions in one of my previous posts: Dryer won't heat up and doesn't stop running

If your husband knows how to handle a simple tools - he can do it.

Gene.
