The first thing I would check is 240V at the power outlet.

If there is nothing wrong with the power then the following parts have to be tested for continuity:

1. The heating element (#17 on the break down diagram)

2. The thermal cut-off (#6 on the break down diagram)

3. The hi limit thermostat (#15 on the break down diagram)

4. The cycling thermostat (#24 on the break down diagram)

The following article on our forum will explain in detail how to run a continuity test using either an analog meter or a digital meter – How to check continuity with Ohmmeter.

- The part number for the heating element is AP3094254

- The part number for the thermal cut-off (including the hi limit thermostat) is AP3094244

- The part number for the hi limit thermostat is AP3131941

- The part number for the cycling thermostat is AP3131939

Good luck.
Gene.

What about a Roper RGX5634KQ2, Gas Dryer, that won't heat up and doesn't stop running?
