My dryer has been working fine with no problems at all until today. I push the button and get nothing. I have looked at the forum for answers and it sounds like it could be anything from a motor to a door switch. I tried to see if the door switch was bad and when I open the door and engage the button no light comes on inside. My wife said she has never seen a light go on ever. Do all dryers have a light that is activated when you open the door? Any answers out there what could be the problem and how to solve it? Thank you

Remove the rear cover and check the thermal fuse (#23 at the diagram) for continuity. If this fuse is open, replace it and clean the dryer vents all the way to the vent hood and the air ducts inside the dryer.
