Model Number: LER5636JQ0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
I purchased a Digital Multimeter and tested the thermastat's, Thermal fuse and power coming in and all seem to be okay. The heater element had a reading of 9.7 on the Multimeter. The other parts read near zero. With the 9.7 reading can I assume I need to replace the heater element?
Thanks!! Related Models |

Hi Tpyle
If everything else checks out, the heating element would seem a good bet. That reading is a little low so I think it is worth taking a chance, particularly since the element is not too expensive. Good luck, let us know how it works out.
