Dishwasher Repair

top rack does not recieve water. bottom rack washes fine but top gets nothing. this model does not have a power tower but pumps the water to the top thru a tube on the outside right side. the water only goes halfway up and then stops. is there a pump only for this purpose or does the main pump and motor do it all?

Looks like a restriction or obstruction in the delivery tube to the top spray arm. Could also be dirty jets in the upper spray arm.

i looked when it was running and the water goes halfway up the tube. so maybe if the jets are dirty it is impeeding the water?
and i guess there is not a separate pump for this spray arm?

If you'll click on your posted model number, you'll see the parts breakdown for your machine. I don' know of a model that has more than one circulation pump. Try running a cycle without dishes, using Dishwasher Magic. That should help clean the spray arm jets.
