Machine will fill and start washing but will not cycle. For instance the timer will just stay washing on 46 min. for hours.

I have the Bosch SHit, shame on U 4306UC/U06. My dishwasher also did not complete the cycle.

I bought this dishwasher new and installed it myself in Nov. 2000; of coarse the warrantee on the electronics was only good for 5 years.

I changed my old dishwasher (Whirlpool) because of the age, noise and the cosmetic rust. What’s interesting is my old unit was over 20 years and I never had to call a service man out.

After having the repair man out and spending $100 for labor and $200 for a new Control Panel, it’s now running again. What I should have done is re-solder the heater relay myself and see if this worked. Before I put out the expense of a repair, which was 50% of the original cost. If you’re willing to take out 6 screws to remove the top cover, you will see that your circuit board will have a burnt solder joint, Easley repairable with a $15.00 solder iron!

Bosch should have a recall on these Control Panel and have there service technicians change it out at there expense, instead of taking advantage of the Consumer for there own Corporate Profits.

I only wish Consumers Reports would talk with me before they publish another report.

Most likely the problem with your dishwasher is a bad control board. You can try to follow the advise from Malise and check the control board for burned solder joint but based on my experience this is very seldom situation. If you decide to try it first, I would recommend to mark all wires carefully before remove them. There is no wiring diagrams and you can end up with very complicated puzzle.

- The part number for the new control board is AP2802870

- Here are break down diagrams for the Bosch dishwasher Model SHU5305 UC/06 (FD 7705-7912)

Good luck.
Gene.

I Have the same problem. I have found water in the bottom of the machine which activates the float switch and won't allow water to flow for the next cycle, and I believe this is what is causing the timer to stick in one place. The culprit seems to be the mechanical float in the plastic housing which is located behind a panel on the left side of the machine. mine is a blue plastic housing with an orange plastic float which should move up and down with the flow of water to regulate the amount of water allowed into the machine. Mine does not move causing water to overflow through a hole in another plastichousing that holds the water inlet hose and two drain hoses. This overflow goes down into a pan in the bottom of the machine activating the float valve and not allowing any more water to enter the machine, and not allowing the timer to advance. I am going to replace the float housing because even cleaning it did not make it work properly(it had some white scale looking stuff in it). You also have to get all the water out of the pan in the bottom of the machine. I hope this solves my problem. You can contact me at jdris52@flash.net if you need any other help. Good luck. J.D.
