Main Symptom: Wine Cooler does not cool
**What happens & when:**started with the E4 error code. replaced the control board in the back and also replaced the control assembly in front where the temp controls are. Still no cooling. Compressor runs and fan inside the unit in the back runs. what else can it be? Need help troubleshooting

If the compressor is running but there is no cooling then this issue will most likely be a sealed system leak and would need service to repair.

any idea if the refrigerant that is used on this is the kind that is now outlawed?

It will most likely be R134a but it should say on the model tag

Any idea if this is a huge job - like do they have to take the unit apart or its easily accessible? or about how long it would take or ballpark cost? like $100, 200, 300? because I have already put in so much with new electronics

Yes, if the unit has a refrigerant leak it would be a big job to fix it. It would require a technician to determine the leak.
