Why does it not drain?

my maytag dishwasher will not drain. When it is completely dry, any cycle will start (autoclean, light wash, etc). After it fills, it will wash normally, but when it comes time to drain, there is a click that sounds like it is coming from the control panel. The pump starts for a half second, the stops. Every five seconds or so, it tries again, with the same result.

So far I have checked:
the inside of the tub for any obstructions and food, anything that could be hanging up.

function of float and float switch

continuity of the motor (overload on my meter checking motor to ground,3 to13 ohms wire to wire)normal? Is this type of motor one that has a high resistance reading?

put ammeter around each wire in drain mode, when it click in the panel, it shows 26 amps momentaraly on all wire except the gray one.

ran manual function test of the pcb. motor runs fine in forward, but when full of water after the test it will not drain even with the drain button pressed.

checked out the pcb on the back, a couple of brown spots on the board. red flag?

What else is there to check? Where is that click coming from?
Thanks, Stewfish

UPDATE:

checked out applianceblog.com and found quite a few threads about exactly the same problem. two resistors on the back of the pcb(control board) that overheated and scorched the board pointed to the blue relay. there is solder on the back that is not up to spec and the bad connection causes the washer to draw too much power, hence the scorched board!
Soldered it up…I am in fat city, back in the saddle again. woohoo! look at me everybody, look at me!
