What happens & when: About 8 hours after a power outage the refrigerator got a door open alarm and the lights inside were inop. Did some reading online and most pointed to the control board in the crisper drawer. Disconneted at the CCA and after powering back up the refrigerator lights were good and no door alarm. Reconnected and problem returned. Ordered new Control panel WPW10599145. Installed new panel and still have same problem. Unit seems to work fine as long as the crisper drawer panel is disconnected. Not sure if I have a different problem or the board I received is bad. Two questions. 1. Would it hurt anyhting to just leave the crisper panel disconnected? 2. If that panel is not the problem what might it be? (Control board?)

If the wiring in that crisper drawer front W11104496 or the pantry harness W11170612 to that drawer is corroded or damaged they can cause the same issue, that’s more likely than a bad board out of the box. This was a common failure on this. If you leave that pantry UI disconnected and just set in place then the drawer will act as a regular crisper drawer, you just won’t be able to adjust settings for the drawer.
