Whirlpool Quiet Partner II Does Not Run

Anyway the control panel problem was never present before.
There was no problem with the installation, the (two) electrical connections were easily disconnected /reconnected.
The only impact out of the norm to the DW was to lay it on its side to access the bottom.

Forget about previous repair for a few minutes and start the troubleshooting as you’ll do for a new separate problem.

Verify the voltage at the wall outlet.

Remove the kick panel and check for 120 VAC at the power cord connection to the dishwasher.

Check for the proper voltage at the door switches (black wire - hot, white wire - neutral) and the door switches them self.

Check for 120 VAC at the thermal fuse (#6 on the diagram) and the thermal fuse for continuity.

Post the results.
The humming noise from behind of the kick panel is a sign of a bad circulation motor. With such symptom you did not have to run any other tests. You can remove the kick panel and verify it by touching the motor.
I am having the exact same issue. no blinking lights, just a humming noise when it’s suppose to be washer. I have the kick panel off, what do you mean by touching the motor i should be able to tell if it’s bad

My model number is DU1145XTPB7. in the troubleshoot section of the manual it mentions possibly the wash module has stuck???

Touch the motor to feel if it’s vibrating.

when the humming /buzzing noise starts there is vibration. so i’m assuming the motor is fine. would something being stuck cause this noise and malfunction?

Your conclusion is wrong. If the motor is humming while it’s not doing any job then the motor is bad and has to be replaced.

Whirlpool Mod # DU1100XTPQ3 Ser # FS1007336. Clean light flashes 7 times then pauses then 7 times repeatedly, When I do the Normal, heated dry 4X it resets then starts a cycle but does not finish a cycle before it is flashing again. also water is standing in the bottom of the dishwasher, have pushed the cancel/ drain button and can hear pump run but water not draining.

The Clean light blinking 7 times in a row means a problem in the heating circuit detected by the electronic control.

This circuit consists of 3 parts: the hi-limit thermostat (#30 at the diagram), the heating element and the control board.

The hi-limit thermostat and the heating element can be tested for continuity. If they are good, the control board has to be replaced.

Gene, Thanks for the help. I also have another problem with the same machine, it quit draining the water out I took the pump off and found a rubber disc about 1/2" diameter laying in there the hose that connects to the drain say Do not remove check valve but i see no check valve, is the disc I found a check valve, And how many check valves are there and where. Any suggestions on what parts I need to order.

Looks like this is the check valve which is made in the drain hose. It is not serviceable and it is important to have it. You have to order the whole drain hose to fix it.

Got part for drain problem and got that part solved. Still having trouble with heating part. Heating element tested at 10.8 ohms. Hi limit .01. Could water temp from source cause this problem we changed from gas water heater to Electric and that is when the problem started. We have been having problems with not enough hot water. I checked the thermostat and it is set at 115 degrees.

It is very possible. Incoming water temperature per instructions from any dishwashers manufacturers should be about 120°F.

Hi saw this thread and tried to do the reset, it worked but when I go to run the washer regularly the blinking starts again. I am not a technical person, is there something else I can do to try to get this working???

What is the complete model number of the dishwasher?

Gene.

Hi Gene, the model number is…

GU2800XTVS0

There are three parts in the heating circuit. They are: the heater, the hi-limit thermostat (under the dishwasher) and the control board.

Check the heater and the hi-limit thermostat for continuity. If any of them is open, it has to be replaced.

If there is nothing wrong, replace the control board.

Hi,

Yes, you do need to check the heating element and the hi-limit thermostat for continuity.

You have to remove the wires from the tested part terminals prior to the test.

The part numbers for the heater and the hi-limit thermostat are the same as posted in the previous post.

Hi. Renting a house with a whirlpool silent partner ii. Model number is du1148xtpba. Did the reset but not working. The pots&pans and normal lights are blinking back and forth. It’s been doing that for about two weeks. Can anybody help me? I unplugged it for about five minutes and plugged it back but It’s doing the same thing.

so a few weeks ago our whirlpool QP2 decided it wasn’t going to start any new cycles. it had run a complete wash cycle then when we unloaded and reloaded as usual it wouldn’t start when we pushed any of the cycle buttons. the only button that would respond was the cancel/drain, so we pushed that and it ran a couple minutes draining the air from the dishwasher and we were then able to start a new wash cycle.
fast forward a couple weeks and it does it again only this time even after the cancel/drain cycle is finished it won’t start any cycles at all. we shut the power off to the dishwasher then turned it back on and at first the lights over the cycle buttons were very dimly lit then we hit cancel/drain button and it attempted to run its cycle so husband shut power off gain and when turned back on the light over the normal cycle button just keeps flashing.
is there some sort of button code to reset it or are we due for a new control panel or a whole new dishwasher??

The bottom of my washer could use some cleaning, what can I put on bottom to clean it white again?
