Basically…my dishwasher is doing this:
Quiet Partner II stuck on “Lock” - Appliance Blog Forums
It seems to be the control panel. I’d like to know if this part is still under warranty and my options.
Thanks!

Hi bigbalbossa
What is the serial number of your dishwasher and what is the color of the console?
Gene.
Thanks for the reply gene…ser # is:
FR4403879
Color is Stainless Steel
Your dishwasher made in 2004 and the limited manufacturer warranty on the electronic controls is 5 years.
Gene.
Great! Since i purchased this house from another person, how do i go about getting the replacement part since the warranty is not under my name?
Just tell them it came with the house and they will go by the manufacturing date.
Check the labor charge to replace the part. Some time is chipper to by the part and do it yourself.
Gene.
Thanks Gene. Yeah, they said it would be $59.95 just to come out…with labor i’m sure it’s more than the part. Can i purchase from you guys?
Yes, you can!
In order to provide the most accurate information I need the color of the control panel not the door.
Gene.
Ah…great. The control panel is black
I have a Whirlpool Quiet Partner II model #DU948PWKQ1 Serial #Fp3413772 type #280-2. It is stuck on “locked”. I have no owners manual what can I do? Will not turn on - please help with any info you can give me.
Press and hold the “Air dry” button for 5 seconds to unlock the controls.
Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dishwasher Model DU948PWKQ1

Thanks Gene for the quick reply. I will try what you have suggested today.
Gene,
Followed your instructions and after holding “air dry” button down for 5 seconds, light did go off. Then pushed other buttons to try and start cycle and nothing happened. Any suggestions? Thanks again..
Jack
Jack,
When you said “nothing”, it was nothing at all or something like lights or noises did happen? Try to open and close the door and then restart it. Try to unplug the power cord (or turn “off” the breaker if there is no plug) fora few minutes to reset the controls. Post the results.
Gene.
Gene,
Held button down for 5 then green light went out on lock button. When I released my finger from “air dry button” , green light on lock button came back on. There is no noise at all coming from dishwasher and as I tried to
push other buttons to start a cycle or just have it do something, nothing
is happening. I tried to unplug power cord and let sit, as well as, shut off
main power. We have no history of this dishwasher because we are under
contract to buy home and owners are gone.. Could this be something along the lines of the control panel which might not be working? Thanks for you time with this Gene..
Jack
azguy…of course gene is the expert, but the issue you’re having seems similar to mine from last year. I purchased a new control board from gene and installed…no problems since. Good luck!
Hi Jack,
We checked out if the Control lockout future was not turn “on” accidentally and we found it was not.
Most likely the problem is a bad key pad which is a part of the console. In order to provide the right part number for the console I need the color of the control panel.
Gene.
Gene,
The control exterior panel is white
Jack,
The part number for the white console is AP3126202. If you click on the part number, it says “out of stock”. Call the customer service at 877-477-7278 and they will help you.
Gene.
Gene,
The dishwasher that started this thread is giving me fits again. This time I have no lights no sounds…just nothing. I’ve tested the two wires that connect to the control board and they have juice, but i’m not sure what to check next. Thoughts?
