Whirlpool Microwave - Humming Sound When Door is closed

Main Symptom: Humming
What happens & when: when the door is closed the unit hums. Microwave still works but now I have to keep the door open. I unplugged it to reset but that did not work.

With these the manufacturer doesn’t really list anything as serviceable other than a few turntable components. You’ve probably got a relay stuck closed but there isn’t any technical information or even a parts list for us to go off of for checks or repairs.

Hey thanks, I figured it might be a door latch/switch. Seems like that is not serviceable so I may be looking at buying a whole new unit.
