GR2FHTXTQ00: Freezer with ice build up on back wall. Disassembled and found heavy ice build up. Defrosted completely and replaced Defrost heater assembly WPW10140847 and bimetal thermostat WPW2321800. I’m still having the same problem. What should my next step be? / video link:
If the heater and bi metal are good the next suspect would be the defrost control. Unfortunately the manufacturer has discontinued this part and it is no longer available for purchase. The part number Whirlpool WP2304093 Refrigerator Defrost Control Board OEM Part is No Longer Available.
