**Model Number:**ED5LHEXTD00 Main Symptom: Icemaker won’t make ice, now water dispenser won’t work What happens & when: Started with water line seemed to be over dispensing water and ice would accumulated in big chunks under the icemaker mold. So much had accumulated had to thaw and remove ice. After that, it would make one tray of ice, but wouldn’t continue. Propped the icemaker arm down to force continual ice–but then water line froze up. Thawed and replaced icemaker motor–over night the water line froze up and all of the sudden the water dispenser does not work. Replace the water inlet valve, called for water once–but then nothing.
Error Code (if any): none
Parts or tests already tried: Replaced icemaker motor, replaced water inlet valve

Was the water dispenser flow normal before it stopped, or had it slowed down some? And how old is the water filter? Those two details can help figure out if the filter is restricting flow and keeping water from getting through the valve properly.
Using a thermometer, what is the temperature in the freezer? Also, is the ice maker fill tube frozen up with ice? This is to help identify if temperature might be the cause.
Freezer is 0 degrees. Ice maker fill tube is not frozen. That was thawed before I replaced the water inlet valve 3 days ago and has not re-frozen since. I am thinking next step is replacing thermostat for the icemaker functionality–but I am baffled by the water dispenser–which quit overnight after replacing the icemaker motor (and ice maker fill line froze again). Even immediately and for a few hours after that repair, the water dispenser continued to work–but in the morning it was not working.
Solved the water dispenser. Turns out it was under the ice/water panel, tiny part on the dispenser control bracket that was broken halfway off, but the lever needed it in place to engage the switch–super glued it, will work for now until I get replacement bracket, lol. Assume when the water line was frozen, someone repeatedly tried to get water which broke that part of the bracket.—-back to the icemaker! Replaced the thermostat–still does not call for ice. Even though there is no “safety switch” that would disengage the icemaker when the water line is frozen–my thoughts are leaning towards did a relay on the control board get fried? Other thoughts? Any advice would help.
