Whirlpool Duet Dryer F-01 Error

Hello,

I have an F-01 error on my Whirlpool Duet Dryer. We have tried to re-set, but the error code still remains. I believe this is a CCU issue, but am not certain if this is something we can replace myself. Is there anyone who has tried successfully on their own? I don’t mind waiting a while until the correct part comes in from Whirlpool or local vendor, but would prefer to try it once on my own.

If you can post a model number we can link you to some technical info and you can see how difficult it is (and it usually is not difficult) to do the repair.

The main difficulty is find the broken part, because these things are notorious for not giving accurate diagnosis, but let’s see which model you have.

Ok, good. This is the Whirlpool Duet Sport Dryer.

Here is a link to the service manual. (It is a big file so be patient on the download)

Try to do as much troubleshooting as you can before replacing the board, but I think you will find that the actual replacement is a fairly easy task.

i am dealing with this right now and it is the main control board its about 250 bucks including tax and it is very easy to do yourself, just make sure when whom ever orders it its not the control board cuz it wont sove your prob

I am having this same thing happening with our whirlpool duet dryer. model# WED9400SW0. Do you have instructions for this model?
