Main Symptom: Top Rack not getting clean
What happens & when: I rinse the dishes before I put them in and greasy stuff on the top rack, don’t come clean all the way and I end up hand washing. Cleaned the filter and checked for any blockages in the sprayer arm beneath the top rack and all is good.

Is it an easy fix that I could do myself! I forgot to mention that it will only clean if it’s on heavy duty not normal setting

it is not real easy, we have videos and there are videos on Youtube as well

I just watched the video and it doesn’t look too complicated. lol. But because I have to run it on heavy duty to get dishes clean would I still need the same part?

Yes, unless you can tell me something different.

Nope nothing different. Thanks so much for the help!!

Hello. So I replaced the part and tried running the dishwasher on normal instead of heavy duty but some dishes aren’t still coming clean. It’s better than before but still not all the way clean. Food particles left on dishes. I also noticed that at the end of the cycle when I open the door there should be steam coming out or I can feel it at the top of the dishwasher when it’s in the drying cycle but dishes are wet and cold. Could it be the heating element at the bottom that might need replacing?

You can ohm out the heater, it should read around 10-30 ohms. If it is good, the board would be next. The thing is, the element should come on during heavy duty or normal. The element not coming on would effect the dishes on the bottom, not just the top.

I ran it on heavy duty also and it still didn’t come on. How do I test the element? Plus it seems like the water isn’t very hot. I even run the water until it gets hot in the kitchen sink before I turn it on

Take a multimeter, access the two terminals of the element, remove one wire, ohm out the two terminals, you should read 10-30 ohms The water going into the DW should be about 120 deg. coming from the house water heater.

Hello again. So I replaced the motor pump and also replaced the heating element because there was some rust on it and it looked worn in certain areas. Ran hot water in the sink before starting dishwasher and normal cycle. Still not getting hot inside so could it be the little thermostat thing right in the front bottom?

So upon further investigation on the web I guess I was supposed to reset the dishwasher after replacing the parts. Ran the code cycle and got an F7 e1 code. After it was done going through yhe code cycle I ran it on normal with heat dry and it’s working fine. Have heat dishes are clean
