Check the drive system first. A loud squealing during spin could be coming from the belt, pulley, motor, or tub/bearing area. Try running it in spin with no load and listen to see where the noise is coming from. If it gets louder as the RPM increases, the bearing or drive components would be worth checking.
Usual suspects are belt, pulley system, drive motor and bearings in transmission. Is it more of a roaring or squealing sound? Does it increase in volume or pitch as the washer spins faster? Does the load size affect the volume or tone of the sound?
