Brand:Samsung
**Model Number:**WF42H5200AW/A2
Main Symptom:System seems to not be cycling
What happens & when: Upon starting the machine looks like it is working. It powers up, I can choose a cycle. Lets say I pick quick wash. Timer shows 26 minutes. I press start. The door locks and the system starts to think. The drum oscillates back and forth slightly and the water comes into the machine. The times then reads 23 minutes. The it seems like nothing else happens. the time doesn’t go down. Eventually the door unlocks though, there doesn’t appear to be any water in the machine but the items to clean are still soaking wet like they haven’t been thru the spinning cycle. if i were to try a different cycle the timer doesn’t go down at all.
Error Code (if any): None Triggered
Parts or tests already tried: Unplugging, Cleaned Drain lines

If you try and run the SPIN ONLY cycle, what does it do?
In spin only mode - Door locks, the display flashes as in spinning mode, reads 13 minutes to complete. then the machine thinks, it sounds like the motor is running to start something. the display goes down to 12 minutes but the inside never turns on to spin. then the time display goes back up to 13 minutes and the process repeats. Again no erroring out but nothing starts either. Thank you for any help you can provide
With it sounding like the motor is activating but the drum doesn’t actually spin I would be suspecting something with the rotor DC31-00112A or stator DC31-00111A.
There’s a video attached to the stator page that goes over accessing those components. I would check that the rotor magnets aren’t damaged and that the splines in the middle of the rotor aren’t worn out or stripped, also check the shaft splines that the rotor goes onto. Then look for any damage to the stator.
