What input voltage should the water valve have on LDF7810ST?

Brand:LG
Model Number:LDF7810ST
Main Symptom:Not filling with water
What happens & when:After water valve opening for 30 seconds

Error Code (if any):IE
Parts or tests already tried:Water valve, checked water flow and pressure, replaced flow sensor

Pretty sure that should be a 120v circuit. You can also check the resistance of the valve, should be about 950Ω-1300Ω.

The water valve is getting 122 VAC. However the valve reads open, no resistance. Therefore, I ordered a new valve from APP. This valve also read open. APP Customer Service said I needed to install the valve before I would get a resistance reading. The new valve still reads open after installation. Please help.

Since the valve is opening for 30 seconds it sounds like it is getting proper voltage, at least for 30 seconds. From looking at the cycle chart, that is about right. Seems like something is keeping it from proceeding further into the cycle. I don’t think it is the inlet valve.

With that IE inlet error I would be suspecting the flow meter AP4457564 on the water inlet guide AP4442244 is bad.

If that flow meter isn’t seeing water moving it’ll give that IE code. That’s the part I’d be most likely to replace.

It is marked as a temperature sensor on our site, which is incorrect, I have had it submitted to change the description.

Thank you Rory. I really appreciate your response! The first thing I replaced when this problem started was the Flow Sensor. LG part # 6501DD2001A. I believe that is the same part as AP4457564.
