Water system hammer after replacing LG Water Inlet Valve Assembly on washing machine

What happens & when: I have an LG washing machine part #WM3670HVA. Back in April the water would not shut-off during the final rinse cycle. I was getting some slight water leaking from the middle valve of the water valve trio at the top, center, rear of the machine. I replaced the entire valve trio with part #AP5986564 (5220FR2075L). That fixed my water shut-off issue during the final rinse and everything seemed to be working normally.

However, immediately after installation the new valves closed very abruptly causing a surge/hammer throughout my water system. I didn’t think much about it at the time assuming it was a new valve assembly that would wear-in with time. It did not wear-in and continues to hammer today. Since than I think I have caused damage to my main pressure regulator because at times I hear a fluttering sound from the pressure regulator. Today I put a pressure gauge on my system to see how significant the hammer is. Normal static system pressure is 64 PSI. Most of the time when the trio of valves cycles it’s only causing a pressure spike to ~68 PSI, but one of those three valves is causing a pressure spike to ~150 PSI!

Did I replace the valve with an incorrect part or was there another system component in the washing machine that I should have also replaced? Or something else?

The valve appears to be the correct part number and it is very unlikely that the valve itself is the issue. The valves are operated by little plungers being lifted by the coils when electricity is applied to the solenoids. If you close the water supply valve a little bit, does it improve the water hammering at all? A 1/4 off adjustment is usually a good identifier.
