I have a kenmore smartwash dishwasher that once the water fills it does not circulate. I can hear a hum but on circulating water. At one point, I took apart piece until I got to the chopper assembly and cleaned out the debris and put it back together. It washed normally one more time and then same issue. Once again I took it apart down to the chopper assembly and inspected. I noticed that the blade did not turn freely. it seems that
i need a new motor. Would I also need any other parts?

You’re on the right track, but it’s difficult to assist you with parts, based on the incorrect model number you supplied. But chances are very good you will recieve everything you need for the repair.
