Water Line Freezing - Freezer not Defrosting Properly

Brand: GE
Model Number: GSH25JSBBSS
Main Symptom: Water Line Freezing
What happens & when: The freezer section is getting ice buildup down in the drain trough. When the trough fills up with frozen water is starts running towards the door and eventually leaks out the door onto the floor. I’ve already changed both temperature sensors and the heater element. The problem persists. Also, the water line keeps freezing not allowing access to water at the door dispencer.

Error Code (if any):
Parts or tests already tried: Both temperature sensors and the heating element at the bottom of the freezer section.

For the dispenser not working because of the water line freezing, this would be an issue where there is a heater kit that needs to be installed.

For the drain freezing, just clear it out and flush the lines. You may also need to get behind the unit and remove the drain hose to clean it out because it is most likely clogged up.
