Main Symptom:Water inlet valve missing retainer screw ??
What happens & when:Had some water leakage, tracked to Water Inlet Valve..drip drip under pressure. Tightened 3 of the screws - baffles still leak…which is my question. Its a 9 y/o unit and has had water fill issues lately besides leaking on floor.
I removed the water inlet baffles and found that there are 4 points on the unit for screws to attach it to the soap dispenser.
There are only 3 stainless screws installed instead of 4. This washer has never been opened up since new -
None of the schematics I see show screw placement in the diagrams. Yes, the leak is new, but how many screws should actually be retaining/tightening the baffles with internal rubber gaskets? I dont want to close it up after getting the new part / and repair without correct items in place.
