The “plug Board” part# AP2041592 that joins the power cord from the wall to the spade connectors from the dishwasher failed when it was a few months old, and just failed again. The dishwasher works when I run jumpers past the partly melted plug board unit and the cord rated for 15AMPS is OK except where it failed going in to the plug board. The cord strain relief was properly installed.
The dishwasher was actually made by Bosch.
Is there a part that I can use for this? I have the ability to modify a part if necessary. (I spent years keeping a race car running)
It is just a terminal strip. I was hoping to find a similar strip. The unit works when I connect the wires, but it would be nice to have them fastened to a strip. hardy
Looks like it is just a terminal strip so you should be able to hard wire the unit.
I would use wire nuts. The ones that have the internal brass connector and then the black cap screws over this are the best. Marrette | Connectors & Marretts | Electrical | Building Materials | Home Depot Canada
See last row left hand side.
Be sure to get the correct size.
Also the line cord and the unit’s wiring must be cut back till you get to nice clean copper.
This assumes that I am correct and the part is just a terminal strip with no active components.
