Top Rack

I have ordered a replacement part for my top rack fold down tines from
Appliance repair pros. My problem is the piece is wrong for my rack (about 1 inch longer. I went to the model I have and ordered item # 15 from the rack display page. Item number AP4113695 (your number 99003106). The manufacturer number on the plastic piece is the same as my old one (>pom-CP< 2) but very different pieces. The tines in the picture are a little
different than mine also. The picture shows the front of the tines that fold down having an extra tine that bends around the front. Mine are all in a straight line. The tag on my door is JDB 1090 AWB same as the model I bought from. Has jenn-air changed this part of the rack.
Thanks KIp

Can you post the pictures of the original part and the part you received?

Here is a picture of both.

Looks like Maytag has changed the design of this rack and #15 from the diagram is now located on the side of the basket, not the bottom. You may need to order an extra #13. There are probably 2 #13’s and #15 is mounted on the side.

I understand what your saying. But the #15 slots do not match up with my tine spacing to lay in. Also # 13 has nothing to support and lock the tines in an upright position.
Thanks

Were you able to solve your issue…I am having trouble finding the same part?

thanks/Bob

I have the exact same problem (obviously because the design of the tine latch (#13) was flawed and cracks. But the replacement does not fit. Jenn-Air’s parts reference is in error and calling customer service with the problem just leaves them baffled because they only know how to look up the same reference we do. We go to the supervisor and they can’t help either.

I also have exactly the same problem and now I have the the replacement parts that do not fit and my tilt racks are useless. Has anyone had any success with solving this problem?

I’m using zip ties… no they don’t work perfectly but Jenn-Air, Maytag, Whirlpool whatever is no help. I just replaced my J/A range with a Monogram. Mental note: Look at the GE and LG next time - I’m through buying Maytag’s with a badge.

tywraps arethe way to repair this dishwasher as you will need to buy the entire assembly to make each of the racks work since it is a pressure fit on the side of the rack and they made the racks slightly different to fit the new and improved tines…as far as customer service, they are useless. they look at the manual that shows the new tines and dont have any idea on what you are saying. wonder if their reps ever come onto these forums and review peoples thoughts as customers are lost with poor customer service.

I already bought my first non-Maytag/Whirlpool appliance (a 36" gas cooktop). I’m phasing out my J/A stuff because it’s phoney for premium.

I have exactly the same issue and went through the same process of replacement part purchase and subsequent revelation.
I guess that tie wraps are the only alternative to c.$250 of new upper rack.
What a pain!

I found the correct parts, but they are Whirlpool parts, not Jenn-Air. The top rack tine latch is W10257558 and the bottom rack latch that also broke is W10191636. Those parts work perfectly.
