Timer won't advance

I replaced the timer with a new one, but the timer won’t advance. Heat comes on and it works other wise. But it runs forever.

This dryer has a moisture sensor on it. I wonder if it is bad and doesn’t tell the timer to advance?

The timer might be bad as well. They are sending me a new one.

Any ideas? What else could it be if I put in a new timer?

Here is your parts

Here is a wiring diagram with a timing chart

Does the timer advance in Timed Dry mode.
It uses a different circuit path than Auto.

The timer does work in timed dry mode. I should have checked that. We always use the accudry mode which checks the moisture. So is there a moisture sensor that I need to change? Sounds like the timer is fine.

In the parts link the:
Moisture sensor is Item 30 in Section 3
Electronic Control Board is Item 51 in Section 2

It will probably be one of the above that is the cause.

Clean the face of the moisture sensor. Make sure it is good and dry before testing.
If this does not fix it, disconnect the moisture sensor
If this does not fix it, it is probably the circuit board
