Thermador Door Lower Seal

The lower seal on the dishwasher is turning to gum and has several holes in it. I bought the part to replace it but I have two problems:

(1) the replacement part AP3194023 (432490) doesn’t look like the existing part which looks exactly like the part in the doors diagram, and;
(2) I cant figure out how to get the old seal off nor see how to fitt the new seal (that looks different) in its place.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have exactly the same problem and am trying to understand how to replace the lower seal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, me too. I have the part, but can not figure it out! It seems to wrap under the door edge somehow, but when you open the door and look inside the dishwasher, you can not see the other part. I bet it is easy to do, but how?
