Stops at Sensing Mode

Dishwasher fills, “Washing” indicator lights and “Sensing” indicator lights. It heats the water and dumps the detergent tab and nothing else. It will sit for hours full of hot water and never move beyond the Washing/Sensing mode. There is no sound from the pump and the wash arms don’t turn. There is nothing stopped up. I can move the impeller manually when I stick my finger down in the water outlet hole. It will drain and shut off properly when the Cancel/Drain button is pushed. What parts do I need to fix it?

Tom,
Did you ever figure this out? Ours is doing the same thing!
Thanks!

It was pretty weird. I gave up and called a repairman. But over the weekend, before I shoved it back under the counter, I took another look underneath. By just chance, I noticed that the wiring terminal connected to the motor didn’t look like it was pushed on tightly. Could it be that simple? I pushed the connector in tight, shoved the unit back under the counter and it was fixed! I can only guess that the wiring connector had vibrated loose. I called early Monday and cancelled the repair call. Check the wires to the motor! Good luck
