I have the Maytag Quietseries 300 unit. This dishwasher never gave me problems until earlier this year and then started. When I would press normal wash or whichever setting made it light up, it would start making noise (spraying or soaking the dishes I assume) and then kick off before getting to the next stage. This didn’t happen all of the time, but started occurring more frequently as time went on. I looked at these forums and got really excited that it must be the latch assembly, so I purchased the piece and installed it myself. That did not do the trick. I can only assume that it is the control panel. The door seems to shut fine. I can’t see any broken tabs inside. Can anyone comment about the control panel? It’s about another $100 to invest into this thing that may just need to be thrown in the dump.
