Brand: Samsung
Model Number: WF331ANW/XAA
Main Symptom: Gaskets associated with a spider flange replacement
What happens & when: Hi! I’m in the middle of replacing the spider flange on my Samsung WF331ANW/XAA front loader and want to know what is intended to go/not go over the shaft. My old one has what looks like a flat rubber gasket as well as the spring washer mentioned in AppliancePartsPros instructional video https://youtu.be/MS_oGrWmLUY?t=1003 (time stamped to the exact place where this part is mentioned). The only part I can find on their website that goes over the shaft is 7-81 (6044-002157) which looks like an O-ring. I’m simply confused. To add to the confusion, the same video never mentions replacing an O-ring nor does it show an O-ring. Would you be able to help explain exactly which parts (and the shape of them) that need to be placed over the new shaft? I did order a new Tub Seal.
There also appears to be a lot of grease on both the old shaft and in the bearing below the tub seal. I’m guessing this grease is unintentional and traveled up the shaft from the tub seal but would like to confirm this with you.
Many thanks in advance
