Brand: Samsung Model Number: RSG257AABP/XAA Main Symptom: Freezer side doesn’t freeze ice cream, but water does freeze. What happens & when: Freezer no longer keeps ice cream frozen. Water does freeze in a glass. Ice is still being made. Freezer temp shows -4 F.
Error Code (if any): Fridge defrost sensor
Parts or tests already tried: Replaced freezer defrost sensor, but still get same error message and still have same problem

This may actually be the temp sensor AP4136950 for the freezer that’s in the ice duct in the top of the freezer.
Take it out and put it in a glass of ice water for about 5 to 10 minutes and check the resistance value, should be around 13.29k ohms at 32 degrees F. If that’s good and the freezer defrost sensor has been replaced, you might have a logic issue on the main control AP4432518, which is no longer available.
