Samsung new part does not match old. But support says it is the correct part

Main Symptom:will not reset after loss of power
What happens & when:after power loss displays88 88. Will not reset.

Error Code (if any):
Parts or tests already tried: Ordered new control board. Does not work. New board I also checked, and DA41-00522A is the correct control board for your model RSG257AARS/XAA Rev. 01.

The replacement board has a different pushbutton spring design, Open at top. Original had a wire cap to make contact with center pin when pushed. The design difference does not work. Is there an updated version or if there’s another issue

Hello Ejkoz, would you be able to provide a picture of the original control and any part numbers that might be on it? This can help to see if there may have been a part change half way through the revision when it was manufactured.

Can’t take pic just now. I think I have figured out the new part DA41-00522A required ‘control button grommet’ to make electrical contact. Original part was -00522 Will try that next.
