Samsung front load washer does not spin but will everyting else / WF42H5000AW/A2-11

Main Symptom: does not spin / will not proceed past starting
What happens & when: When I select “Spin” or any standard wash cycle, the door locks and the machine starts, but it never progresses past the 3-minute mark.

I’ve already tried recalibrating the machine using the two-button method, but that didn’t change anything. The washer is a direct-drive model (no belt).

If I run a spin-only cycle, it will drain/eject water, but it won’t actually spin. I’ve also unplugged the machine to reset it, with no improvement.

Any ideas on what might be causing this?

I forgot to add : If i start a regular or short washing cycle it will start, the dock lock clicks, and it will stat the process of the cycle but then it will stop about 3 minutes into it and just freeze it seems. it wil not progress, the display stays illuminated. If i push start/pause the machine will start ejecting water and then it goes back to being dormant.

With the power on, press the soil level and the delay end buttons at the same time. This should enter the washer into service mode. Once entered, press the spin button. The letter d should start flashing in the display. Does an error code show up if you rotate the cycle knob clockwise 1 click?
