Samsung-DW80M2020US AA 00 - "Normal" mode light rapidly flashing - DW refuses to operate

Main Symptom: Came home from vacation to find the “NORMAL” light rapidly flashing and constant beeping. Also a motor (pump?) continues to run. All this happens whether the front door is open or closed. We are almost sure we left the door open and did not turn on the DW before leaving.
What happens & when:

  1. Holding down START (Hold for 3 sec. reset) does not resolve the issue
  2. Circuit breaker OFF for several minutes then ON does not resolve the issue
  3. Tried to select another mode other than NORMAL - unable to select any other mode and issue continued.
  4. Pressed the POWER button. 2 seconds after releasing the POWER button the issue described above started again.
  5. Our oven and microwave clocks are not blinking which appear to indicate we didn’t loose power during our absence.
  6. ALSO, we turned off the water to the house at the street before we left

Although the water was turned off at the street, if you look under the dishwasher, is there water in the base pan at all?

For some reason my mind was telling me it was a far greater issue, but my gut said “wait for a response”.

Thank you very much. Very easy fix. Dishwasher is running well now.

I would recommend keeping an eye on the base pan during operation to identify if there is a leak occurring, and where it may be originating from.
