Right Front Large Burner not igniting on KitchenAid range KSGB900ESS3

The burner will not ignite even though the igniter is properly working and it will start using a match but then the burner does not burn properly. It has more of a yellow flame and the flame is extended. The Burner base and burner cap are clean. No obstructions. The jet port is clean and produces gas. If I raise the burner base by 1/16" then the burner will light using the igniter but again there is still the yellow flame producing carbon on the pan and of course more CO2. I am going to purchase a new burner base and possibly a new burner cap. I have read that if they are warped in any way that this could be a symptom of what I am seeing. I would just like to get a confirmation from someone who has had this experience as well.

Please see video in link below to get a complete picture of what is happening.

Thanks in advance for your help.

It sounds like it would be an issue of the burner cap. Also check to make sure that the igniter is not cracked and sparking in a different part of the igniter.

I inspected the igniter and there are no cracks in the ceramic. It sparks from the tip. I also took a little fine sand paper to the tip to make sure it was clean. So you think that it is the burner cap and not the burner base. Do you think that the burner cap is warped from heat?
