Replacing the water inlet valve in the filter assembly Samsung refrigerator RF28HMEDBSR/AA

Brand:Samsung
**Model Number:**RF28HMEDBSR/AA
Main Symptom:no ice
What happens & when:icemaker stop making ice and I did the repair kit including the icemaker, heater drain tube, and computer control board. The icemaker only makes 10 small cubes and there is good water at the French door. I assume therefore that the water inlet control valve is malfunctioning. I need a video or instruction on how to replace the valve within the filter assembly.

Hello, the inlet valve is embedded in the filter housing and is only replaced as an assembly

i replaced the inlet valve. (Already changed ice maker, heated drain and control board). i checked the evaporator coils in the refrigerator and have a cold frige and freezer fridge 34, freezer -8, no ice! I added 3M tape over joints in freezer box i had previously sealed with Silicone sealant. water from wall is 3 gal/minute. What else can I do?

I don’t know of anything else, you seem to have it covered. If you add water to the tray, does it go through a harvest cycle?

I got one set of ice cubes. Refrigerator and freezer temps are good. Then nothing. No water at door. Removed new valve thinking maybe a bad one and put old one in. Got water at door and one set cubes. Then no water at door in am and no added cubes. Tried removing filter but no change. Checked water from valve to inlet hose, good pressure. Pulled ice supply line from back, not frozen. No kinks in lines.Thinking of trying another new valve? Could board be bad? Recommendations please?

Strange right? If you don’t get water to the icemaker or through the door, I would suspect the head where the filter attaches is not by-passing correctly or something is happening to the filter. If one works but not the other, then that is not correct either because all water goes through the filter for ice and the dispenser. You also know the icemaker is working correctly because it does cycle when water is added manually. I would focus on the filter housing and filter. If you have a filter by-pass, try that first, that would eliminate a defective filter.
