Replacing lid switch on Whirlpool (Kirkland) Washer

Have a broken lid switch. It looks like your part # AP3100003. First, it that a suitable replacement? Second, how easy is it to connect to the control panel?

The lid switch is OEM part made by Whirlpool: AP5983746

It is pretty simple to connect the new switch electrically - just open the control panel and you’ll see how it plugs in. You have to remove the washer cabinet to replace the lid switch. The video above shows step by step instructions.

So sorry it has taken so long to get back… Model SAWX650JQ0 Washer bought at Cosco(Kirkland made by Whirlpool) it will fill and aggitate in beginning but will not drain or spin…took top off to expose switches please help asap if you can…really and truly appreciate jeannie
