Replaced refrigerator start run capacitor part number W10613606

What happens & when: Replaced start run capacitor, plug in, compressor buzzes 5 sec and clicks off.

With the start relay already being replaced, the compressor has to be the issue. You know it is getting voltage to the relay because it buzzes. A certified tech would need to replace it, the part number is W10160407 Refrigerator Compressor | Genuine Whirlpool OEM In Stock

I had also checked the continuity of the compressor using this site video with multimeter. The two prongs are on the bottom on this model and single prong on the top so a right side up Triangle. See attached photo of my results. The two side legs added up to the top that was only slightly off from bottom reading. Doesn’t that indicate the compressor is good?

The compressor can be locked up and still show proper ohms readings. In other words, you are checking the windings of the start and run coils of the motor. Your readings are correct, your coils are good, but if the motor is bound and unable to turn, it will try and start (the buzzing noise), and the relay will kick out because of excessive amp draw trying to start the motor. The capacitor will have nothing to do with it starting, it is simply there to help it run more efficently.
