Replace Diswasher pump

I’d like to purchase a Sears Elite dishwasher (Whirlpool) pump and motor assembly (8535150 Whirlpool part). I’ve found it on this site but wonder how difficult the replacement would be. (I’m quite handy.) It looks to me that after disconnection a hose or two and a few electric connections the unit lifts out from the inside, and would hence seem easy. Although, I can’t seem to remove the rotor to have a good look at the pump. Any comments?

Here is the tech sheet for this unit, it icludes motor removal instructions.

Thanks!! I removed the pump using these instructions – no problem. Only issue is that I had to remove (unscrew) the plastic intake line stub before I could fully remove the pump unit, but not problem here.

The PDF instructions above instruct me to seal the unit with a lubricant. I presume it’s talking about the main seal around the perimeter of the pump unit. What kind of lubricant should I use? Is the really necessary?

No but it helps it slide in easier.
