Refrigerator evaporator fan takes too long to turn on

**Main Symptom:**Fridge gets way to warm before it turns on. When it turns on Fridge works fine.

What happens & when:

The fridge get much too warm before the fan kicks on. The fan doesn’t come on until the fridge is way over 50 degrees and freezer is in the 20’s. Makes no bad noise and when it does come on and it functions as before this started also the air is very cold and the fridge gets to 36 and freezer to 0 or a little lower as it had been set before. Then it does that all over again. The defrost timer is mechanically moving. I have not removed the back panel to check icing. I’m just not sure what controls that.

That evaporator fan 242219206 should be the same way, running whenever the compressor and condenser are. We’re pretty much still at the same process, check connections behind the evaporator cover are full secured and at the control box, if all that looks good replace the fan.
