Reconnecting thermostat

I disconnected heating element, having it tested along with the thermostat. They tested fine. I need to reconnect it - there are 3 wires & 4 connection points. Which point do I NOT use. HELP!! I don’t want to ruin the thermostat because of an incorrect connection.

Can you post a picture of the thermostat?

Here is a wiring diagram which may help

Also you did not say which thermostat, there are a number of them in the unit.

Does not make sense that you have 4 connection points and only 3 wires, perhaps a wire has moved so you do not see it.
Always make a diagram or take a photo when removing a number of wires at the same time!!!

Do not apply power to this unit unless you are 100% sure that you have it wired correctly.
Blowing the thermostat is the least of your worries.
You could burn up the wiring and in the worst case scenario cause a fire.

If not 100% sure get a pro in to reconnect your parts!!!
