Random cycling of temperature and pining noise

Brand:Samsung
Model Number:RF263AEWP/XAA
Main Symptom:intermittent Pinging Noise and cycling through temp settings
What happens & when:The fridge will spontaneously start cycling through the temperature settings making a pinging noise. Water also slowly gathers in the bottom of the fridge compartment. I have removed the evaporator cover and checked that the drain is clear. Also fitted your extended metal tag mod some years ago to make sure heat is getting to the drain to keep it open. (Great mod that saved me having to buy a new fridge.) Also fitted new door seals which worked great.

Error Code (if any):None
Parts or tests already tried: checked drain was clear

Sounds like either the control panel or main board is going bad. The random temp changes and pinging are common Samsung control issues, when moisture gets into panel. And check for partial icing around the evaporator fan area.

Thanks for the quick reply. There wasn’t much icing behind the evaporator panel or near rhe fan. Where the boards located and how do I get to them to check for moisture? If I need to replace them do you have the parts for this model? The fridge works fine apart from these issues so maybe worth doing?
