Replaced pump/motor unit (purchased from appliancepartspros) and ready to install assembly in dishwasher unit. Noticed that the mounting flange of the washer tub had some kind of grease on it, where the pump/motor unit seal mounts. Is this an assembly grease that should be replaced or added to? Hate to install as is and then have it leak.
You can install it as it is, but I always apply a light coating of lithium grease to help with the install. Hope this helps.
