It’s a portable floor model DW. The hose is a double hose connected to a coupler that attaches to sink faucet. One hose is for filing and the other for draining. When you start cycle it fills the bottom the way it is supposed to, then when it starts to wash the water armature spins and sprays the way it is supposed to, but at the same time water is I assume being ?pumped? out. It empties and the wash cycle continues to run till it ends and the rinse cycle begins as above with the same thing happening.
