Popping noise when drum turns anytime in cycle

I have two videos but it won’t let me upload here from my iPhone. The popping noise is pretty loud and gets even louder while the washer is running. After replacing all that I have the washer actually runs now at least but I don’t want to run an actual load until I diagnose and fix this popping noise because I don’t want to make the issue worse.

Brand: GE
Model Number: GTW485ASJ0WS
Main Symptom:
What happens & when: Loud popping noise when drum rotates in any direction.

Error Code (if any): Mode Shifter
Parts or tests already tried: Replaced the speed sensor as the belt broke off and destroyed it, new belt, new mode shifter with a new spring and clutch. I lubricated the clutch and pulley. Only had one error code which was to replace the mode shifter.

Hi hollandj34,

Have you checked for a loose drive block or worn agitator dogs? Either of those can create a popping noise during the wash or agitation cycle. I’d start by inspecting those components first, as they’re common causes of that symptom.
