Piece came off and in dryer, think from front panel

**Main Symptom:**A piece from front panel came off and was in dryer. There is another one exactly like it still in front panel. Not sure if it is where it is suppose to be. I don’t find it on parts diagram. It is metal stainless steel flat semi flexible 3/8” x 6 5/8”. Pictures attached

I am not sure what that would be from. However, it does not look like it is a part of this dryer. Has the dryer been having a scraping noise or seemed noisier than normal lately?

Only since this part came off. The other one that looks exactly like it, is till in the front panel where I pointed out on picture.

The upper drum support should only have plastic glides and the braided metal would have to be from something else. Plastic guides are used instead of metal because of the damage that can occur from metal running against metal. Here is what the upper section of the drum support should look like.

I will have to take it apart. Will not be able to do until next week.
