Swapped out the main control board on the fridge which solved the issue of the lights and ice/water dispenser not working, however it seems that the front thermostat is displaying an inaccurate temperature for the fridge portion despite feeling much colder. It is locked at 67 degrees; I’m concerned that this might match a similar issue of a faulty control board similar to one of the questions on the page. “Tim June 20, 2019” on the product Q/A had the same issue. Freezer seemingly displaying proper temperature
I double checked all connections are tight and correct.
Would recommend to make sure that the thermistor in the refrigerator section is good. The resistance should be 5K at room temperature. If the resistance is good then the display board would be the most likely cause for this issue.
Apologies, could you elaborate on where to locate the thermistor portion for testing? Would an error with the display cause the fridge to constantly be cooling? It was functional with the last board, thank you
The thermistor will be on the side wall of the refrigerator compartment. There will be a grille that covers it. The main control board should not cause this issue to occur unless it is the wrong board. The thermistor could potentially cause this or the display board.
I don’t believe the sensors to be the issue. When the new board was installed, I believe the fan was not operating properly despite running the fan test in the manual debug mode. The thermistors also all passed the test in the debug test. I replaced it back to the old board and the fridge is once again cooled despite the issues with the front panel.
