Notice some frosting in and around the vents of the air damper control. Cool air still making its way though the vents into the refrigerator

Main Symptom: Some frosting in and around the vents of the air damper control
What happens & when: Happened when there was lots of humidity in the kitchen and refrigerator door opening a lot. Not sure if this is normal. First time noticing this during the hot humid summer. I have had this refrigerator for about 5 years now.

When it’s very humid you may see that frost form especially, as you said, the fridge is being opened a lot. Is it located near an outside door? Anywhere that excess humidity and moisture can get into the fridge? You can try adjusting the humidity control in you fridge control settings. Locate the Humidity Control button on your internal Control Center. Press it during warm, humid months, or if you notice water droplets on the door seal

I remember reading about that feature in my owner’s manual when I first got the refrigerator. I forgot about that button.

Jeffrey, just a follow up question.

My parents have the same refrigerator but at least 10+ years old.
The refrigerator is showing 38F, but they noticed recently that some fruit had partially frozen on the lower shelf.
But they did have a plastic container that was in front of the air damper control. Could this have contributed to that one area with the partially frozen fruit.

Anything to be concerned with?

If it was just that one occurrence I wouldn’t be too worried but if it continues to happen we’ll need to address it
